There are many lessons to learn from the little things in life
So up and get your eyes off this world of strife!

Take Baby Johnny, for instance, always lumbering around,
One day, decides it’s time to get up off the ground…

So he stands on his wobbly little feet
His daunting endeavor, to complete.

It doesn’t come as easily as was foreseen
And soon he finds that, of walking, he’s not real keen

He falls a time or two, and it doesn’t feel too good,
But he gets up and tries again, like every good boy should;

Only to fall once more, in utter defeat,
And to the ground, conquered, he does retreat…

Until Daddy’s big, loving hands he feels…
Johnny looks at Daddy as he kneels.

The baby feels a rush of comfort, then;
And suddenly, he’s ready to try again.

You see, he trusts those loving, sheltering hands
To help him fulfill his overwhelming plans

For, Daddy will help him no matter what
He can run to him with any problem he’s ever got

Christian, take heed to the lesson taught here,
And hold your Heavenly Daddy dear!

He’s the one that you can fully trust
And all your cares on Him can thrust

Don’t let the Devil give you false hope
And say you, on your own, can cope

Proverbs 3:5 you must read
And then, oh Christian, take heed!
